Doris Ann Lafferre

Doris Ann Lafferre, age 87 of Cimarron Ash Lane, Maysville, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, February 2, 2021 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on November 24, 1933 in Woodsfield, OH, she was a daughter of the late Kenneth Harry Saffle, Sr. and Hazel Ruth Eddy Saffle. Her husband, Chauncey Dean Lafferre preceded her in death in July 2018. A great-grandson, Colson James Dozer and a brother, Kenneth H. Saffle, Jr. also preceded her in death.

Doris enjoyed crocheting, quilting, and word puzzles. She enjoyed traveling, seeking adventure with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved flowers around her home, colors to brighten her day. A homemaker her entire life, she was a wonderful wife, mother and a caring grandmother and great-grandmother. Cherished by her family, she will be missed by all.

Surviving are two sons, Steven and wife Sue Lafferre of Maysville, WV and Jeffrey and wife Sherri Lafferre of Maysville, WV; two daughters, Debra and husband Doug Dotson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tammy and husband Paul Turner of Rising Sun, IN; a sister, Peggy Secrest of Spring Hill, FL; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and five great-great-grandchildren.

Private committal services will be held at the Maysville Cemetery.
