Donald Jesse Ford, age 72 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2025, at his residence. Born on March 26, 1953, in Moorefield, WV, he was the son of the late Robert Lee Ford and Elizabeth I Taylor Ford. Don was the proud member of a big family of sixteen, and though he is now reunited with his beloved daughter, Rosie Redmon, and ten of his siblings who have gone before him, his laughter and warmth will forever echo in our hearts.
Don’s life was marked by simple joys. He found immense pleasure in fishing, spending countless hours casting lines and enjoying the beauty of nature. Known for his kind spirit and hearty laugh, Don made a lasting impact on everyone fortunate enough to cross his path.
He will be warmly remembered by his loving wife, Claudia Naomi Beckford Ford, and his two children, Donald Ford and Misty Ford. Don is also survived by two brothers, Robert Ford, Jr. and Clarence “Vick” Ford; three sisters, Carolyn Williams, Margaret Moore, and Kay Sherman; and he leaves behind two cherished grandchildren, Faith and Dominic. A multitude of nieces, nephews, and cousins will carry forward the legacy of love he instilled in all.
A Celebration of Life is set to be held on Saturday, April 26, 2025, at 1:00 PM, with Pastor Josh Pickett officiating at the Moorefield Church of God, 223 S Elm Street, Moorefield.
