Doil James Delawder, age 73 of Cedar Tree Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, February 17, 2016 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born January 8, 1943 in Hardy Co., WV, he was a son of the late James Fred Delawder and Thelma Josephine (Riggleman) Delawder. He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice V. (Bucy) Delawder in May 2004 and his two older brothers, Dayton Delawder and Randall Delawder. A 1961 graduate of Moorefield High School, he was a truck driver for over 19 years for Hesters before retiring, enjoying most recently hanging out at McDonalds drinking coffee with friends. When he wasnt catching up, he enjoyed hunting and fishing or just being outdoors, but most of all he loved his great-granddaughter and the time he spent with her. Surviving are three daughters, Beverly & Rusty Watson of Maysville, WV, Saundra & Chester Mongold of Moorefield, WV and Felicity & Michael Collins of Fredericksburg, VA; five grandsons, James, David, Raymond, Aaron & Logan; a great-granddaughter, Teyla; three sisters, Donna Schell of Cabins, WV, Carmelita Shoemaker of Burlington, WV and Fannie Parker of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Kenneth Delawder, Sr. of Old Fields, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Donald Judy officiating. Interment will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 8 PM Friday at the funeral home.
