Dennis Andrew Halterman

Dennis Andrew Halterman, age 59 of Caledonia Drive, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday afternoon, December 10, 2009 at his residence. Born July 14, 1950 in Crisfield, MD, he was the son of the late Ferguson G. Halterman, Sr. & Madeline (Iman) Halterman. A brother, Ferguson G. Halterman, Jr. also preceded him in death. He was a US Marine Corps veteran, retiring in 1992 having achieved the rank of Major. He was a member of the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post #9606 V.F.W and a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. Surviving are two nieces, Carla Karvounis & Andrea Perry of Baltimore, MD; three great-nieces; two aunts, Wade Bean of Moorefield, WV & Josephine Bensenhaver of Rig, WV and numerous cousins. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 15, 2009 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. with Pastor Judy Vetter officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the US Marine Corps and the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Olive Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
