Delores Jean Short

Delores Jean Iman Short, age 74 of Jenkins Run Road, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday evening, January 10, 2021 at Davis Memorial Hospital in Elkins, WV. Born on April 4, 1946 in Grant Co., WV, she was the daughter of Robert Lee Baldwin and Buana Grace Ganoe Baldwin. Her husband, Franklin Short preceded her in death in April 2009; a daughter, Tressa Flanagan also preceded her in death in August 2020.

Delores was a homemaker that loved to care for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved spending time with her family and friends, as often as she could. Those grandchildren and great-grandchildren were often spoiled by their grandmother as she adored each one of them. When family and friends would arrive, she enjoyed cooking homemade meals for them. Her love of music was for only one man, Elvis, and for sports, she was a WVU Mountaineers fan.

Surviving is a son, Lawrence (Stephanie) Short of Moorefield, WV; three daughters, Jeanie Kimble, Kathy Short & Donna (Rob) Shockey all of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Bobby Iman of Martinsburg, WV; thirteen grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren and a son-in-law, Jeff Flanagan of Moorefield, WV.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM, Friday January 15, 2021at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street. Graveside Services will be held at 1:30 PM on Friday, January 15, 2021 at the Olivet Cemetery with Steve Snyder officiant. Interment will follow.

Due to the current COVID-19 restrictions, wearing of masks and social distancing will be required at the funeral home at all times.
