Della Leota Shreve, age 81, of Moorefield, WV was welcomed into the Kingdom of Heaven on April 16, 2018 at E.A. Hawse Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Baker, WV, after a lengthy illness. Born on August 4, 1936 in Hardy County, Della was the daughter of the late Simon William and Mary Mae See. Della is predeceased by her loving husband of 48 years, Nolan R. Shreve, Sr., in July 2008 and beloved daughter, Jennifer L. Shreve, in July 2009. Della was a devoted wife and mother, filled with energy and a zest for life. Compassionate and selfless, with a sweet smile and twinkle in her eye, she was always ready to help others in their time of need. As a faithful and active member of the Tannery Presbyterian Chapel, Della served countless hours volunteering in support of her community. Once her children were in school, Della started a cleaning business. The business quickly grew, due to her impeccable reputation, and from this business, many dear and lasting friendships were formed. Della will forever be lovingly remembered by her surviving children, Gene See and Nolan Shreve, Jr. of Moorefield and Iris Shreve of Hamilton, VA; grandchildren, Jake Moreland, Simon, Justin and Carrie See and Josh Stonestreet, several great-grandchildren; and sisters, Lillie Peggy Snyder of Bridgewater, VA and Barbara Reel of Mathias, WV. Siblings predeceasing her are Elsie L. Shook, William S. See, Clarence G. See, Mary V. Andes and Ernest E. See. Funeral Services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, April 21, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Randy Miller officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time of services at 2:00 PM.
