David Daniel Crites

David Daniel Crites, age 66 of Red Fern Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, March 12, 2015 at his residence. Born February 28, 1949 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late William Webster Crites and Violet Arvella Reel Crites. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Rose Miller and Marilyn White. A US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, where he received a Purple Heart, he was a member of the John M. Golliday Post#64 American Legion and the Denney-Moyers-Pratt Post#9606 V.F.W. Surviving is his fiance, Barbara Hawkins; a son, David Duke Crites of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Annette Faith Martinez of Pittsburgh, PA; two sisters, Blanche Simmons of Petersburg, WV and Lisa Mongold of Moorefield, WV; two grandchildren and a great-grandchild. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, March 16, 2015 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastor Mike Snyder officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites Accorded by the US Army at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
