Darley Dorise Smith

Darley Dorise Smith, age 83 of Fish Pond Road, Old Fields, WV, passed away Friday morning, April 25, 2014 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born April 30, 1930 in Old Fields, WV, he was the son of the late Aaron Blaine Smith & Bessie Alma (Kessel) Smith. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War. A carpenter by trade, he enjoyed hunting and watching wildlife from the windows of his farmhouse. Five brothers and five sisters preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife of 60 years, Joanne G. (Hardy) Smith; a son, Travis S. Smith (fiancée Christine) of Morgantown, WV; a daughter, Patricia J. Saager (husband Reinhold) of Manassas, VA; a brother, Paul D. Smith of Moorefield, WV; two grandchildren, Marcus L. Saager & Samantha D. Saager and a great-grandson, Jaxson. Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Monday, April 28, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St. with Pastor Dan Howard officiating. Interment will follow at the Bethel Cemetery, Old Fields, WV. The family will receive friends from 6 8 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
