Clyde Wendelene Snyder

Clyde W. Snyder, age 75 of Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday afternoon, July 15, 2008, at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville, VA. Born September 22, 1932 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of the late Clyde P. & Ona D. (Smith) Snyder. Clyde was a US Army veteran of the Korean War; a Member of the Denney-Moyers-Prat Post #9606 V.F.W; a board member and member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 Ameican Legion; a member of the Moorefield Lodge #29 A.F. & A.M.; a member of McNeill?s Rangers Camp 582, Sons of the Confederate; a member of the Calvary Baptist Temple and an employee of the Moorefield WalMart. He was preceded in death by a son, three brothers and two sisters. Surviving is his wife Diane (Luckey) Snyder; two sons, Earl & Debbie Snyder of Petersburg, WV & Mark Snyder and friend Jennifer Ours of Moorefield, WV; four daughters, Stacy & Jerry Simmons of Petersburg, WV, Stephanie & Greg Vance of Fisher, WV, Tina Conners of Moorefield, WV and Amy & Wesley Shockey of Fisher, WV; a Step-daughter, Traci Crouse of Grafton, WV; a step-son, Scott Crouse of Alliance, OH; four brothers, Charles C. Snyder, Michael D. Snyder & Nevin T. Snyder of Fisher, WV & Larry P. Snyder of Old Fields, WV; a sister, Ruby E. Mason of Fisher, WV; seventeen grandchildren; a step-grandson and five great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Saturday, July 19, 2008 at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington St., with the Rev. Ken Smith officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army and the Moorefield Veteran?s Honor Guard at the Kessel Cemetery, Kessel, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 -4 & 6 ? 8 PM Friday at the Fraley Funeral Chapel at 107 Washington St.
