Chauncey Dean Lafferre

Chauncey Dean Lafferre, age 85 of Maysville, WV, passed away Tuesday evening, July 3, 2018 at the Grant Rehabilitation & Care Center in Petersburg, WV. Born on September 21, 1932 in Lewisville, OH, he was a son of the late Ivan Orlando Lafferre and Grace Elizabeth Spence Lafferre. A brother, Walter E. Gene Lafferre preceded him in death. Dean had retired from Union Carbide after 40+ years; was a member of ARRL, (the National Association of Amateur Radio), was a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War having spent 18 months in Korea, but most importantly he was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Surviving is his wife of 65 years, Doris Ann Saffle Lafferre; two sons, Steven and wife Sue Lafferre of Maysville, WV and Jeffrey and wife Sherri Lafferre of Maysville, WV; two daughters, Debra and husband Doug Dotson of Myrtle Beach, SC and Tammy and husband Paul Turner of Rising Sun, IN; a sister, Helen G. Lafferre of Ocala, FL; thirteen grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. Deans request was to not have any public services and to be interred in the Maysville Cemetery.
