Caudy Junior Shoemaker

Caudy Junior Shoemaker, age 76 of Moorefield, WV passed away Wednesday morning, April 30, 2003 at his residence. Born January 6, 1927 in Moorefield, he was a son of the late Caudy L. & Mary E. (Cunningham) Shoemaker. He attended the Old Fields Baptist Church and was retired from the American Woodmark Corporation after 33 years. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Elwood Shoemaker, Willie Shoemaker and Woodrow Shoemaker; and one sister, Violet Oates. Surviving is his wife, Mary (Kesner) Shoemaker, two stepsons, Ralph Vance of Maysville, WV and Phillip Vance of Scherr, WV; one stepdaughter, Yvonne Black of Petersburg, WV; two sisters, Jean Gaughan of Reading, PA and Nettie Evans of Moorefield, WV; sister-in-law, Hazel Shoemaker of Burlington, WV; five step-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were conducted Saturday, May 3, 2003 at the Old Fields Baptist Church with Pastor Dan Howard officiating. Interment followed at the Olivet Cemetery in Moorefield.
