Bradley Kaye Sherman, age 72 of Pine Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Wednesday morning, November 24, 2021, at Wheeling Hospital in Wheeling, WV. Born on October 5, 1949, in Petersburg, WV, he was the only child of Marvin Vance Sherman and Ruth May Anderson Sherman. His wife, Dorthea Maria See Sherman preceded him in death in January 2019. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and US Army Reserve.
Bradley never met a stranger. His favorite hangouts were Sunset Restaurant, Radio Shack, Rio Mall and M & J Flea Market. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, shooting is 9MM Makarov and taking care of his grandchildren. He was an avid HAM radio operator (N8RQP) and was extremely proud to be a social member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Company-46. He also worked at Laurel Run Coal Mine until it was closed. and was an electrician by trade having retired from Pilgrim’s Pride as a maintenance electrician.
Surviving is a son, Melvin L. “Tucker” Eye, Jr. of Petersburg, WV; two daughters, Michelle L. Parker and Cathy L. Reed of Moorefield, WV; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be conducted 1:00 PM Saturday, November 27, 2021, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Kyle Stump officiant. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the U.S. Army and the Moorefield Veteran’s Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of services on Saturday.
Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
