Bobby Edward Smith

Bobby Edward Smith, age 73 of Spring Ave., Moorefield, WV passed away Thursday evening, March 3, 2016 at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born October 30, 1942 in Moorefield, WV, he was the son of the late Paul Brant Smith and Ollie Elizabeth (Smith) Smith. He was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Ella Rebecca (Delawder) Smith in May 2013. Two brothers, Paul V. Smith and Bill Smith also preceded him in death. He was a US Army veteran, a member of the John M. Golliday, Post #64 American Legion and had retired from Hester Industries where he was a security guard. He enjoyed being with his friends at McDonalds which was known as the McDonalds Mens Club. Surviving is a son, Mark Smith and companion Tina White of Moorefield, WV; a step-son, Allen & Kathi Davy of Old Fields, WV; a daughter, Tammy & Randy Moats of Moorefield, WV; a step-daughter, Donna & Landon Ketterman of Bean Settlement, WV; two brothers, Ray & Phyllis Smith of Moorefield, WV and Jack & Sharon Smith of Burlington, WV; four sisters, Linda & Roger Moyers of Moorefield, WV, Betty & Ted Hartman of Maysville, WV, Barbara Smith and Peggy Mathias of Old Fields, WV; a granddaughter, Ashley Moats of Moorefield, WV; a grandson, Kyle Moats of Moorefield, WV; a step-granddaughter, Anne & Matt Riggleman of Harrisonburg, VA and a great-grandson, Jaxson. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Monday, March 7, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington St., with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster officiating. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army at Elijah High Cemetery, Junction, WV. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
