Bill Hartman

Bill Hartman, age 80 of N. Elm St., Moorefield, WV, passed away Monday afternoon, October 29, 2007 at Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born August 12, 1927 in Purgitsville, WV he was the son of the late Burr & Carrie V. (Davy) Hartman. Bill was a US Army veteran of the Korean War, a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion, an honorary member of the Moorefield Volunteer Fire Co.-46, a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church and operated Hartman & Son Trucking for 45 years. His wife, Twila Z. Hartman preceded him in death in December 2003. Three brothers, three sisters and a granddaughter also preceded him in death. Surving are two sons; Greg Zirk & Dennis C. Zirk of Moorefield, WV; a daughter, Brenda Z. Price of Moorefield, WV; a brother, Burr Hartman of Moorefield, WV; eleven grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Friday, November 2, 2007 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield. Interment will follow with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the US Army & the Moorefield Veterans Honor Guard at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 -9 PM Thursday at the Fraley Funeral Home.
