Betty Jean Bobo

Betty Jean VanMeter Bobo, age 79 of 5th Street, Moorefield, WV, passed away Sunday morning, June 3, 2018 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born on May 10, 1939 in Petersburg, WV, she was a daughter of the late Glen Homer VanMeter and Audrey Leona Borror VanMeter. Her husband James Omer Bobo preceded her in death in 2015. A brother, Dale E. VanMeter and a step-sister, Delora Ruth Kimble also preceded her in death. Betty Jean was a member of the Walnut Grove Church of the Brethren. In her spare time, she enjoyed being on Facebook, reading and working crossword puzzles. She would crochet many items and she enjoyed cooking for the family. Her grandchildren were her sunshine and she loved every moment they were with her. Surviving is a daughter, Patricia M. Runions (husband James) of Moorefield, WV; a step-daughter, Judy E. Corbin (husband Doug) of Fisher, WV; a step-son, Steven O. Bobo (wife Ethel) of Moorefield, WV; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Thursday, June 7, 2018 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Gary Shirk, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at the Walnut Grove Gardens near Moorefield. The family will receive friends from 4 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
