Barbara Ann Halterman

Barbara Ann Barb Westfall Halterman, age 82 of Oakland, MD formerly of Maiden, NC , passed away Friday, February 16, 2018 at Dennett Road Manor in Oakland, MD. She was born on February 23, 1935 in Spencer, WV a daughter of the late Oshel Perry Westfall and Dorothy Ann Shipman Westfall. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Granville Park Geep Halterman, Sr. in February 2017; in addition to a son, Granville (Rocky) Park Halterman Jr. Barb graduated from Morgantown High School, Morgantown, WV where she was in the band as a saxophone player and serving as the drum major for 3 years. She was a lifetime at home mother/homemaker, volunteering as a health aid at Annapolis Junior High School 1971-1974 (Annapolis, MD) and other church functions. She was survived by one daughter K. (Karen) Sue Halterman-Brown, husband Stephen L. Brown of Maiden, NC; one son Douglas (Doug) Edward Halterman of Oakland, MD; grandchildren, Jaclyn Meredith Skeweris, husband Brent Mitchell Honolulu, HI; Kristin Michelle Skeweris, husband Steve Bennett, Oakland, MD; Michelle Halterman-Latta, Oakland, MD; Teri Halterman-Panuelo, husband John Panuelo, Myrtle Beach, SC; Rebecca Halterman, ,VA; Melita Friend, Friendsville, MD; Cassandra Rene Halterman-Layne, husband Joshua Layne El Paso, TX; great-grandchildren, Mallory Panuelo, Jonathan Panuelo; Topanga Halterman, Alyah Halterman; Makaily McCroskey, Ainsley McCroskey; Hayden Malloy Halterman-Stiner, Ryker Allan Layne, Axton Garrison Layne.
