Barbara Davidson

Barbara “Bobbie Ann” Davidson, age 75 of Maple Avenue, Moorefield, WV, passed away Friday afternoon, August 6, 2021 at the J W Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on July 20, 1946 in Hardy County, WV, she was a daughter of the late Raymond William “Buck” May and Anna Ruby Cook. Her companion of 43 years, William Lester Koontz preceded her in death in October 2015. She was also preceded in death by her 1^st husband, Kenneth Mervin Davidson in December 1970, a daughter, Elaine C. Davidson, a son, Kenneth M. Davidson, a sister, Mary F. May and a brother, Daniel S. Cook.

Bobbie Ann enjoyed cooking, reading and studying the Bible and taking care of her flowers, especially her roses. She loved to spend time with her family, but loved volunteering herself of time and talent to local organizations, including the MOOSE auxiliary

Surviving are two daughters, Tammy Davidson Davy and Michele “Tink” Koontz of Moorefield, WV; two sons, Jeffrey (Deanna) Davidson and William “Buck” (Lacey) Koontz of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Lisa (Kenny) VanMeter of Maysville, WV; eight grandchildren, Eddie Mongold, Erica Davy, Amber Blair, Meghan Blair, Shannon Davy, Holly Wilson, Anna Koontz & Natalie Koontz and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be conducted 10:00 AM Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Heroes Sical officiant. Interment will follow in the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5 – 7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.

Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
