Ann Leigh Sherman

Ann Leigh Sherman, age 62 of Glenwood Drive, Moorefield, WV, passed away Thursday morning, November 13, 2008 at the Grant Memorial Hospital in Petersburg, WV. Born January 16, 1946 in Cumberland, MD she was the daughter of the late James H. Kotz, Sr. & Mary V. (Hendrickson) Kotz. Ann was a member of the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church where she taught Sunday school and was a choir member. She was retired from the Hardy County Schools after 35 years teaching the 1st grade and was a frequent substitute teacher even after retirement. She was also a member of the D.A.R and the A.A.U.W. Surviving is her husband of 40 years, Roger L. Sherman, a daughter, Beth Golden of Berkeley Springs, WV; a son, Joe Sherman of Old Fields, WV; a brother, Harold Kotz, Jr. of Wardensville, WV and four grandchildren, Stephanie Golden, Ben Golden, Grant Sherman & Carter Sherman. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:30 PM Sunday, November 16, 2008 at the Duffey Memorial United Methodist Church with Pastor Ed Craft officiating. Interment will follow at the Olivet Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 2 ? 4 & 6 ? 8 PM Saturday at the Fraley Funeral Chapel, 107 Washington Street. Mrs. Sherman will be taken to the church one hour prior to services on Sunday.
