Amelia Carolene Method

Amelia Carolene Method, age 82 of Beans Lane, Moorefield, WV, passed away Tuesday morning, September 14, 2021, at her residence. Born on October 18, 1938, in Moorefield, she was the daughter of the late Edna Frances Method. Amelia was the 1^st black graduate of Moorefield High School, Class of 1958. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Sonny Method & Alonzo Method and two sisters, Mary Price & Ruby Redman.

She loved spending time with her family, cooking, and traveling to the beach. She really had a passion for a good slot machine. She worked at Shop N' Save for many years and that is where she met most of her lifelong friends and expressed her love of cooking. She liked to go play bingo and going for car rides. She loved when all of her family would gather together.

Surviving are two daughters, Lisa M. Romero and Janet L. Taylor of Moorefield, WV; a sister, Edna “Aunt Sis” Garcia of Columbus, OH; six grandchildren, Jacynda (Odilon) Romero, Lucas (Stacy) Taylor, Jackia (Jose) Montesinos, Jacqlyn Hall, Olivia Taylor & Lance (Frances Snezek) Taylor; seventeen great-grandchildren; Alexis (Steve Ham) Taylor, Jazlyn Romero, Fabiana (Brandon) Taylor, Ofelia Taylor, Jadelyn Hinger, Malachi Hinger, Jocelyn Taylor, Brianna Romero, Diego Taylor, Josiah Howard, Savannah Taylor, Jammari Hall, Jr., Marianna Taylor, Arianna Taylor, Priscilia Montesinos, Aveah Taylor & Amelianna Taylor; a great-great-grandson, Kendrick Booth and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Monday, September 20, 2021, at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Dan Sterns officiant. Interment will follow at the Oak Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time of services at 2:00 PM.

Due to the current COVID-19 recommendations, wearing of masks and social distancing by individuals unvaccinated is recommended.
