Alister Rumsey See, age 88 of Mt. View Road, Purgitsville, WV passed away Saturday evening, July 26, 2014 at the Grant County Nursing Home in Petersburg, WV. Born August 26, 1925 in Hardy County, WV, he was the son of the late Harry Ramsey See and Georgia Ann (Cook) See. He was a US Army Veteran of the Korean War and a US Navy Veteran of WWII. Surviving is his wife, Margaret A. (Dean) See of Baker, WV; a son, Roger Dean of Purgitsville, WV; a daughter, Jean Funk of Moorefield, WV; two step-sons, Larry Funk & Jack Funk of Purgitsville, WV; a step-daughter, Donna Pittington of Moorefield, WV and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be conducted 11:00 AM Tuesday, July 29, 2014 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastor Brad Taylor officiating. Interment will follow at the Lahmansville Cemetery, Patterson Creek Road, Lahmansville, WV. The family will receive friends from 2 4 & 6 8 PM Monday at the funeral home.
