Alec Judy Zirk,

Alec Judy Zirk, Sr., age 82 of Old Fields, WV, passed away Friday morning at the Winchester Medical Center in Winchester, VA. Born May 8, 1924 in Hardy Co., WV, he was the son of the late George W. & Minnie E. (Judy) Zirk. He was a veteran of the US Marines of WWII and the US Armys 25 Division of the Korean War. He was a member of the John M. Golliday Post #64 American Legion. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and one sister. Surviving is his loving wife, Marjorie (Smith) Zirk; a son, A.J. Zirk, Jr. of Moorefield, WV; two daughters, Margaret Newton and husband Perry of Moorefield, WV and Jacqueline Zirk of Old Fields, WV; a sister, Nellie V. Zirk of Moorefield, WV; four grandchildren, Colby Zirk, Emily Newton, Abel Zirk & Alisha Zirk and a best friend, Moray Vetter. A Memorial Service will be held 4:00 PM Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at the Fraley Funeral Home in Moorefield with Pastor Harold Garber officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until time of services. Inurnment will be held at a later date. At Alecs request he has been cremated.
