Agnes Elizabeth Evans, age 89 of Rohrbaugh Lane, Moorefield, WV passed away Thursday morning, September 8, 2016 at the residence of her daughter in Fisher, WV. Born April 19, 1927 in the Flats area of Old Fields, WV, she was the daughter of the late Robert Henry Hawse and Nancy Alberta Sions Hawse. She was a member of the Moorefield Church of the Brethren and was an aide for Hardy County Schools for many years. On January 17, 1946 she married her husband, James R. Pud Evans, whom preceded her in death after 66 years of marriage on March 20, 2012. A grandson, Robert Evans Taylor, a great-granddaughter, Tasha Rohrbaugh, a sister, Pearl H. Kessel, a brother, Brook A. High and a niece, Frankie Kimble also preceded her in death. Surviving are three daughters, Nancy E. & Jack Taylor of Moorefield, WV, Kathy E. & Mike Snyder of Fisher, WV and Debbie E. & Danny Poling of Old Fields, WV; five grandchildren, Michael P. Snyder, II, J.L. Poling, Aaron T. Snyder, Katie P. See & Annie Rohrbaugh; two step-grandchildren, Jack R. Taylor, Jr. & Jill Good; thirteen great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandson. Agnes has been under the exceptional care of Aaron Snyder, Megan Snyder and Clayton Montoya and the family extends their gratitude for the care of Agnes by these caregivers for the last five years. Funeral Services will be conducted 2:00 PM Sunday, September 11, 2016 at the Fraley Funeral Home Chapel, 107 Washington Street with Pastors Russell & Lucy Webster & Mike Snyder officiating. Interment will follow at the Newhouse Cemetery, Rig Road, Moorefield. The family will receive friends from 1:00 till time of services at 2:00 PM on Sunday.
