Aaron "Sandy" Welton, III

Aaron Alexander “Sandy” Welton, III, age 73 of Old Fields, WV, passed away Thursday evening, October 22, 2020 in Old Fields following an accident. Born on February 6, 1947 in Petersburg, WV, he was the son of Rachael Kathryn Webley Welton of Old Fields, WV and the late Aaron Alexander Welton, Jr. He was also preceded in death by his brother, David.

Sandy was a skillful individual who possessed the knowledge of numerous trades. He enjoyed gardening and taught himself how to can the fruits (vegetables) of his labors. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and especially fishing with the grandchildren. Some would consider him an eccentric collector, finding that one item he needed at any time. A free spirit, he loved time spent riding his Harley Davidson motorcycle and the freedom it gave him.

Surviving in addition to his mother is the mother of his children Toni Welton; a son, Aaron A. (Ashley) Welton, IV of Carlisle, PA; four daughters, Lesley (Delmas) See & Sarah Taylor of Old Fields, WV and Jessica Welton (Steven Bogdan) & Amy Welton (Jordan Pratt)of Moorefield, WV; two sisters, Elizabeth Gray (Larry) Mullin of Winchester, VA and Kathryn A. (Allen) Davy of Old Fields, WV; a sister-in-law, Brenda Welton of Old Fields, WV and ten grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
